Transform: Change Your Mindset
If what you have been receiving does not transform you, then what you are receiving is simply religion. In order for there to be change it has to start in your thinking. Some people are going the wrong way because they are thinking the wrong way. You only change when you change your mindset. Romans 12:1 – 3 states, not to be conformed to this world or age, but to be transformed, changed, transfigured. This is the same thing that happened to Jesus in Matthew 17:2. How does this happen? It happens by the renewing of your mind. You won’t change until you change your mindset. There has to be a paradigm shift in your thinking. Think above or beyond your natural process.
Proverbs 4:7 states Wisdom is the principal or fist thing and with all thy getting get understanding, the dimension of God’s intention. To understand God’s original intent, you have to go back to Genesis 1:26 – 28. God’s original plan as declared in Genesis was for man to have dominion in the same manner a king has reign over his domain. The very word dominion used in Genesis in the Hebrew is the word kingdom. When you see the prefix “re” it means to go back, return, rewind, reverse, restore, reform. So God came to redeem man not to deem man. He came to take Man back to his original state. So your mind has to be renewed back to God’s original intent, how He thinks.
In Matthew 3:1 –3 when John begins to introduce the Kingdom, he says repent. Now let me explain this word repent. We seem to think repent means to come down front during a service, crying tears and asking for forgiveness. No, that’s not repentance, that’s remorse. Hebrews 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. He tried to repent with tears but he never changed his mindset about what he did concerning his birthright. He never changed his thinking. What John said in Matthew 3 was repent; change your thinking regarding your religious mindset and laws. God was removing the age of the law because God was ushering the Kingdom. But their religious mindset did not allow them to see the Kingdom.
Do you have a Kingdom mindset or are you just religious? Selah. I’m just sayin’
